Job Summary

Liftworks is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service and call out Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player in maintaining our reputation for excellence, you will provide top-tier technical support and service to our clients—we have a couple of high-profile entertainment and sporting arenas within our portfolio where standbys for major events are available. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to ensuring optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize client downtime.
  • Install new systems and verify their proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Deliver hands-on training for clients on system usage and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service records, including repair logs, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
  • Work closely with team members to enhance service delivery and streamline operational processes.
  • Stay current with industry advancements, tools, and best practices to continually improve technical capabilities.
  • Night call rota 1 night a week and 1 weekend over 5 weeks, flexibility if given notice for cover.

Qualifications and Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 Qualified.
  • Solid technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven problem-solving ability with sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic and service-related software and tools.
  • A valid UK driving license
